THerapist

Abigail Brannen, M.A., CCC-SLP

Abigail is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and has provided care across a variety of settings, including pediatric private practices, long-term care facilities, and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. While her clinical experience extends across the lifespan, Abigail now primarily serves pediatric clients, supporting both verbal and non-speaking communicators who benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Prior to relocating back to Tallahassee, Abigail founded and operated her own private practice in Athens, Georgia, where she served the local community for 2.5 years. This experience further deepened her commitment to individualized, family-centered care and expanded her scope as a clinician and business owner.

Abigail is a Natural Language Acquisition–Trained Clinician, certified in DIRFloortime®, PROMPT-trained, and experienced in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). She is passionate about combining evidence-based practices with individualized, relationship-centered care to help children reach their fullest potential.

Outside of her professional work, Abigail enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two sons, and their dogs. She values staying active through yoga and seeks out opportunities to enjoy the outdoors whenever possible.

testimonials

"Abigail is an incredible speech-language pathologist. She jump-started my daughter's reading and spelling development at a critical time in her learning (end of second grade). Abigail helped us understand our daughter's phonological processing and how to help her. I only wish I had found Abigail earlier in my daughter's life!"

" We had the best experience with Abigail! Our son made so much progress with his speech during our time with Abigail, and he always looked forward to her visits. She is so kind and professional. We highly recommend her and will always be so thankful for her services!"

I’m proud to offer both options! I honor the flexibility and comfort that come with being a mobile therapy provider, meeting children in their natural environments such as home or school. I also maintain a brick-and-mortar clinic space for families who prefer in-office sessions or need a more structured setting. This dual model allows me to meet each child and family where they thrive best.
